Studentská rada FF UK vyhlašuje u příležitosti 57. výročí sebeupálení Jana Palacha V. ročník studentské literární soutěže.
Soutěže se mohou zúčastnit studenti středních a vysokých škol (středoškolské a vysokoškolské práce budou hodnoceny zvlášť).
Kategorie
Ústředním tématem letošního ročníku je Síla pravdy. Soutěžní práce musí spadat do jednoho ze čtyř níže popsaných témat.
Témata pro kategorie poezie, vyprávění, dopis, úvaha:
poezie – bez omezení
vyprávění – 2-8 NS
dopis 1-3 NS
úvaha – 2-5 NS
(NS je zkratka pro jednu normostranu tedy 1800 znaků s mezerami)
Součástí hodnocení kvality bude gramatická správnost textu. Dále je důležité dodržet zadaný formát textu, což je například délka, nebo braní ohledu na konkrétní specifika žánrů. V neposlední řadě je hodnocena i originalita a čtivost daného textu.
Příspěvky ve formátu pdf. odevzdávejte do 16.1. 2026 na adresu stradaffuk@gmail.com. Díla zasílejte nepodepsaná. Své jméno a příjmení uveďte pouze v těle e-mailu, a to vč. jména instituce, na níž studujete (v rámci VŠ uveďte i fakultu). Příspěvek originálně pojmenujte (tj. ne „Soutěž” apod.).
Zasílejte pouze zatím nepublikovaná autorská díla, která nejsou přihlášená do jiné umělecké soutěže.
Počet příspěvků od autorstva není omezen, díla však v takovém případě musí spadat do různých kategorií.
Příspěvky budou anonymně hodnoceny porotou studentské rady.
Zasláním příspěvku do soutěže autorstvo dává souhlas s jeho publikací pod svým jménem a příjmením a s uvedením zaslaných osobních údajů. Nejzdařilejší příspěvky budou v rámci možností zveřejněny.
Výsledky budou zveřejněny na webu a sociálních sítích Studentské rady FF UK. Dále v později určený termín proběhne fyzické vyhlášení a veřejné autorské čtení všech prací. A nejlepších příspěvků se mohou těšit na zajímavé ceny.

The Student Council hereby opens the 5th iteration of the Jan Palach Literary Contest, to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the self-immolation of Jan Palach.

Any student of a middle school (gymnasiums, trade academies, etc.) or a form of higher education can participate (these two groups will be judged separately).
The overarching theme of this year’s contest is “The Power of Truth”. This theme should be expanded upon within the following four topics:
Poetry – no limit
Narrative essay – 2-8 standard pages (1 standard page – 1800 characters)
Letter – 1-3 s.p.
Persuasive essay – 2-5 s.p.
(1 standard page – 1800 characters)
Grammar will be judged as a part of the entire process. Adherence to the chosen categories, and adherence to the instructions (e.g. length) tied to said categories, will also be judged, as will (of course) originality and readability.
Please send your work as a PDF to the Student Council email address: stradaffuk@gmail.com up until the 16th of January 2026. When it comes to the submission itself, we would like to ask you to not have your name in the title of the document, only the name of your text. Your name is only required in your submission e-mail, which should also include the name and level of the institution you are currently studying at (please add your faculty as well, if you are currently in higher education).
We would also like to ask you to send only original, non-published works, that are also currently not a part of any other contest.
You can only send one text per category, which, however, means it is possible to submit individual entries into multiple categories.
Each entry will be anonymously judged by a panel of student judges.
By entering the competition, each author agrees with the public release of their work and full name, and with the authenticity of sent personal details. Only the most successful entries will be released to the public.
The contest’s results will be presented on the Faculty of Arts Student Council website and social media accounts. A date and place of an in-person trophy ceremony, as well as an author’s reading, shall be specified in the future. Authors of the most intriguing entries can look forward to winning some interesting prizes.
